Women can give birth.

This conviction forms the core of our continuing education.
A woman giving birth therefore does not need a “coach”, no “emotional support”, no other “professional”… perhaps not even an escort.

But if a woman wants to have a woman with birth experience at her side in addition to the midwife, then the doula is there for her: with her calmness, confidence and with her whole BEING.

A doula does not perform any medical tasks – this area is reserved for midwives and doctors.

This means that she does not run the risk of observing or judging the woman giving birth and the birth. This can disrupt the birth just as much as stress or fear.
